MistressDaisy.com is built with strong privacy defaults. We collect as little as practical to run a literary journal, receive messages, and optionally send email updates.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions — name, email, optional subject, message, and a one-way hash of IP used only for abuse response.
- Newsletter signups — email address and subscription timestamps.
- Account data — only for authorized administrators and authors (not public readers).
- Server logs — standard hosting logs that may include IP addresses for security and uptime, retained according to host policy.
- Aggregate post view counts — privacy-friendly totals by day; no advertising fingerprints, no third-party ad trackers by default.
What we do not do by default
- Sell personal data
- Run invasive behavioural advertising pixels
- Publish private correspondence
- Require accounts for reading public essays
Cookies & local storage
Essential session cookies support security (CSRF) and form flows. Theme preference and the 18+ acknowledgement may be stored in your browser’s local storage so we do not need to track you server-side for those features.
If you subscribe, we use your email only to send site-related letters. You may unsubscribe at any time once list tooling is fully connected; until then, contact us to be removed.
